Old Mine Nature Park

After the completion of extensive redevelopment work, including the planting of 20,000 trees, this wood has become a popular haven for dog walkers, cyclists, families, schools, and youth clubs.

It has open grass and meadow areas with a host of native wildlife and good quality paths.

Look out for the newly planted trees, including Birch, Hawthorn, Ash, Oak, Scots Pine, Larch and Alder.

Situated close to Bellshill and surrounded by the community of Fallside, this new woodland is just two minutes from the A725 sitting just behind New Edinburgh Road (A721). It is best accessed via Fallside nature park entrance on New Edinburgh Road.
