Hundreds of free events at your local Commonwealth Woods in 2014

Families can enjoy hundreds of free events and activities at our network of 14 Commonwealth Woods in and around Glasgow in 2014.

A bumper events calendar is being organised to encourage people to explore their local woods and get active outside, learn and have fun. It’s part of a lasting legacy project of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The woods are home to lots of different plants and animals. On leisurely walks you might be lucky to spot roe deer, butterflies, snowdrops and birds.

So, whether you’re looking for a bit of peace, exploration and discovery, or beautiful surroundings to enjoy a walk or a picnic, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the woods.

For more information on what free events are taking place visit our events calendar.
