Named after the rocky outcrop which dominates the skyline above Dumbarton, Lang Craigs is home to 600 acres of sheltered glen, rolling hills and rugged moorland.
Enjoy a walk along the grassy paths of this thriving woodland, home to an array of wildlife as well as native trees, including oak, birch and Scots pine.
It’s worth a visit for the spectacular views of the Craigs themselves, the Clyde, Dumbarton Rock, Ben Lomond and nearby Overtoun Estate.
The Kilpatrick Hills is an open wilderness popular with hill walkers, cyclists, horse riders and runners.

Located about two miles east of Dumbarton town centre.
Overtoun Estate can be reached on foot from Campbell Avenue, or by car via Milton Brae, Dumbarton.
Free parking at Overtoun House during daylight hours.
Lang Craigs is reached after a further 450m by following Crags Circular Walk signs from the first car park.
